The park and comm unity center has been deteriorating for a number of years and the community center is now closed due to mold. The project includes not only a major rehabilitation of the community center and park but also include new park features (outdoor auditorium, skate park, BBQ/picnic areas, and a new tote lot) and an expanded community center to include a community library, additional space for computer classrooms, and an industrial kitchen.
